It happens!  As Authors, we have all received the "We'll Publish You" letter from a potential publishing house who ask you to put up your life-savings, mortgage your house or take out a hefty loan just to get your book published.  Yes, there are scammers out there that will take advantage of authors.  We always advise authors to be weary.  Check out a company.  Check out the background of those you are working with.  Ask lots of questions.  That being said, not all companies are out to take advantage of you.  Rest assured that with Silver Rose Press, you are in the best of hands with a publisher who truly cares about you and your book.  Yes we are new, but we plan on being around a long time and will offer you the support you need whether you choose our Hybrid Publishing format or we work with you to Self-Publish.

Silver Rose Press has even been accused of being a scammer.  Rest assured that we ARE NOT!  I was the previous owner of Pen It! Publications, llc, which was sold a little over 3 years ago.  That business was recently closed by the new owner.  Pen It had over 400 authors who we worked with to make their dreams come true. We loved our authors and treated them like family.  However, as the company grew very large, I felt it was time to move on.  Unfortunately, the new owner did not keep the company going.  I had so many authors reach back out to me to ask for my assistance.  

Marla and I had a conversation at an Author Event a few weeks before we started Silver Rose Press about how many authors the closing of Pen It! had left sad that their books were no longer published.  It is and has always been my desire to help authors because when I started out, there wasn't many who were offering me help.  I have helped many get their books republished and continue to do so.  Many were children's book authors.  Even though we don't accept children's illustrated books, we are happy to work with you as a Self-Published author.  

Marla is an experienced and sought-after editor who has many many books under her belt.  She is also an author of over 50 books, so she knows the growing paints of getting published.  I have 25 published books.  We are working on republishing our books under the Silver Rose Press brand, so keep watching.
